The face to face length of the main body is short thanks to its ductile iron made ball structure and a slide pipe with flexibility that takes care of a large displacement.That made us possible to design it compact and light enough to be safely installed in a limited space.

The guideline includes bending type M-1 type, expansion type S-1 type, and anchor ability class A of “Buried pipeline earthquake resistant joint technology standard”(Idea). It maintains its sufficient reliability for a long time and has abundant experience and history as treatment for an earthquake and irregular subsidence on unstable ground.
The main material is ductile iron (FCD450), so it’s highly durable. Plus, it immediately absorbs stresses caused by bending, expansion, and torsion thanks to its structure, so safe stable performance lasts long without caring about fatigue failure.
The T-shape rubber ring conforming to JIS G 5526 and JIS G 5527 is used for the sealing part, so superior watertightness against interior or exterior pressure lasts long.
Epoxy powder coating for interior of ductile iron pipes for water supply (JWWA G 112) is coated on the water contact part and Synthetic resin paints for ductile iron pipes for water works (JWWA G 139) on exterior, so it’s highly anti-corrosive. Also, the dust prevention cover and the dust sponge ring protect clean water from sand and dust intrusion and prevent a problem such as red water. This well-considered troubleshooting design helps the full performance of the joint preventing bending and expansion function failure as much as possible.
The body has equivalent strength to Coated pipes for water service conforming to JIS standard or JWWA standard. Also, the sleeve pipe is reinforced by the ring and flange. Furthermore, the spigot pipe is reinforced by the stiffener on a certain condition.
In the sealing part, the highly resilient rubber ring is inserted with proper compression rate and set with the original shaped gland by bolting. Therefore, reliable leak-tightness is ensured not only for the internal pressure at the time of expansion and eccentricity but also for the external pressure at the time of unfilled circumstances. Also, the flexible joint has the sufficient expansion function to sizes, so it can tackle a certain temperature change or differential settlement without being pulled out.
The flexible joint follows torsion of pipelines caused by ground displacement at the time of differential settlement or earthquake because the allowable bending is designed as 9.5° to6°at the sealing part and the sealing system is comprised of the rubber ring.
It sufficiently has the desired eccentricity even in short face-to-face length because it decenters within the allowable bending at two points.
The rubber ring in the sealing parts is made of SBR conforming to Rubber goods for works Ⅰ group A type of JIS standard. The material is equivalent to the rubber ring group Ⅲ group to the annex “Joint parts for ductile iron pipe for water supply” of JWWA “Ductile iron pipes for water supply and special joints” and guaranteed for the reliability.
The type of joint part can adjust to the connecting pipe such as steel pipe, ductile pipe, and concrete pipe.
